Reach Truck
In order to keep storage areas tidy and to stock up supplies and pallets of goods, a reach truck could be utilized. The reach truck is available in several models: the straddle reach, stand-up reach and the double-deep reach.
The most basic kind is the stand-up. The forks of the truck slide underneath the pallet and move it to the correct storage place. The forks slide the pallet into place. This kind of reach truck is suitable when shelving units are just one pallet in depth.
Ideal for workplaces where the shelving units are deep enough to have two pallets of goods, the double-deep reach truck, which is like the stand-up, is commonly utilized. This particular model consists of telescopic forks intended to place the pallet at the back of the shelving unit. This eliminates the need to push the pallet back when one more pallet should go into the same shelving section.
Straddle reaches have the additional advantage of being able to not just slide underneath the pallet, but also to grasp the sides. These are suitable for workplaces where shelving units are accessible in many directions. This version is ideal in conditions where goods will not be damaged if the pallet sides are grabbed.
Usually more than one type of reach truck is required inside warehouses. Manufacturing facilities and textile firms use different kinds of reach trucks in their supply areas. The reach truck is not hard to use and could increase productivity while making the most of available storage space.
