Heavy Forklifts
With their new series of heavy forklift trucks, Hyundai is aiming for a new customer base. A variety of businesses, from the natural stone and concrete businesses, to the steel business, the railway sector and the transportation of heavy goods in the ports are all working with and relying on heavy duty equipment. The power and efficiency offered by the units keep cost of operation low and provide the best conditions for efficient work. These kinds of equipment could excel in the most demanding settings.
Providing the needed power on all of the large capacity models, the Cummins diesel engine varies from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with engines which have 6 cylinders. These kinds of forklifts can take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It has the ability to climb on rough terrain and steep slopes and also provides great acceleration.
The operator could use a switch in order to choose 1 of 2 driving modes. When in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on difficult terrain or heavy loads. In the "STP" mode, the trucks can save lots of fuel during light-duty work. In addition, just by pressing a switch, the operator could automatically maintain a chosen speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is another fuel saving feature. The fully automatic transmission of the forklift gently shifts through the gears, making the equipment comfortable to use and easy to maneuver.
The well-ventilated cabin offers a spacious and comfortable working place. The cabin combines fatigue-free work with high performance. The powerful air conditioning and heating system helps make sure that the operator is comfortable inside. The cab was designed ergonomically to give a bird's eye view of all of the controls, adding to the unit's overall safety. An MP3 player and a CD player put the finishing touches on giving the enjoyable atmosphere that Hyundai machines are reputed to have.
