Used Nissan Pneumatic Tire Forklift Salinas

What is the Difference between Pneumatic Tire and Cushion Tire?

Determining the difference between cushion tire forklifts and pneumatic tire forklifts is amongst the most popular questions regarding this kind of machine. Each tire type is specially ideal for various needs.

Pneumatic Tires have air in them, like tires on a vehicle. These types of tires are ideal for indoor usage but they are more effective on gravel and uneven surfaces and in outdoor "yard" applications.

Cushion tires are designed as a solid industrial tire which is used mainly for indoor operation. These tires can be used outdoors on asphalt surfaces only. If you do drive cushion tires outside, there is an option to get traction tires on the front of the machinery. These are called the drive tires. The steer tires or the back tires are specially made for steering. Traction tires located on the forklift's back would simply wear out faster. Hence, if you do need to work outside, having the smooth tires on the back and traction on the front will be the most economical and safest way to operate.

What is the distinction between Solid Pneumatic and Air Pneumatic tires?

When trying to know the main distinction between the two tire types, it could be somewhat difficult. They both work in the same outdoor conditions such as gravel, and asphalt. The main difference between the two tire types is solid pneumatics are made of solid rubber. This means you cannot gouge, puncture and pop them since they are durable. These tires are more expensive than air pneumatic tires as they are made up of way more rubber. These tires are best suited for places such as lumber yards and scrap yards where there might be plenty of sharp things and debris on the ground.

The pneumatic tire could be punctured accidentally. You could get flat tires from them when this happens. Before using a forklift with air pneumatic tires, be sure that the yard is free of sharp metals, nails and scrap debris and by inspecting your work area. In most applications, standard air pneumatic tires work great.
